Approach

"Break the Routine" is a transformative program designed to help individuals regain control over their nightly drinking or gambling habits. Each week, you'll engage in one-on-one sessions, tailored to your personal goals and challenges. In these session we will understand the problem, why its occuring and work towards a solution. Our approach is different in that we bring some accountability and direction as well. You will check in with your counsellor and see how each week is progressing.

Alongside, our regular check-ins will help keep you on track, providing motivation and accountability. This holistic approach ensures that your journey is both progressive and sustainable. Each journey is different but they include:

We start by openly acknowledging and confronting the issues you face with nightly drinking or gambling. This critical first step sets the stage for meaningful change and personal growth.

Together, we'll examine the decision-making processes that lead to your current habits, helping you to understand and reassess these choices in the context of your overall well-being.

Changing Habitual Behaviours
We focus on breaking the cycle of repetitive behaviors, understanding our current routines and changing them. We are creatures of habit so we need to change the setting and environment to assist with our change.

Embracing change means exploring new interests and activities that can replace old habits, opening doors to fresh experiences and positive alternatives.

Behaviour Modification
Using therapy, we work on modifying our behaviours and thoughts. We also give you tools that can create lasting change and a healither lifestyle.

Dan Benton is the senior counsellor and founder of the program. He brings experience in behavioral change and addiction counselling. His approach is deeply rooted in empathy, understanding, and most importantly, an unwavering commitment to confidentiality. Dan understands that the journey to change is deeply personal and ensures that every interaction, whether online or in person, is conducted in a safe, secure, and private environment. Dan provides the option of both online and in-person sessions, ensuring that help is always within reach regardless of your location or schedule. We have other counsellors who can run this program who are online only.

It can be completed inperson with Dan at his office in Orange or can be run online with him or other counsellors. Help is always within reach regardless of your location or schedule.
